The film tells the story of Alana Kane (singer Alana Haim) and Gary Valentine (Cooper Hoffman) growing up, running around and falling in love in the San Fernando Valley, 1973. Written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson (Phantom ThreadThere Will Be Blood), Licorice Pizza tracks the treacherous navigation of first love. Sean Penn, Tom Waits and Bradley Cooper bring their talents to bear in this warm and fuzzy love letter to an era.
