Statement on the Death of Nelson Mandela

The Dartmouth community mourns the passing of South Africa's former president Nelson Mandela. Thanks to his stalwart commitment to freedom and justice, Mr. Mandela leaves the world a much better place than he found it. His legacy will endure for generations as a beacon of hope for all mankind.

Gail and I join our colleagues, friends, and all the members of our community to express our most sincere condolences to Mr. Mandela's family and to the people of South Africa.
