Appointment of Tuck's New Dean

To the Dartmouth community:

We are delighted to announce the appointment of Matthew J. Slaughter as the 10th dean of the Tuck School of Business.

Currently the Signal Companies' Professor of Management and associate dean for faculty at Tuck, Matt will assume his new role on July 1. Selected from an exceptional pool of candidates following a global, eight-month search, Matt's stellar career as an administrative leader, scholar, and educator at both Tuck and teaching undergraduates in the Department of Economics--together with his deep experience in the worlds of policy and practice--make him ideally suited to help Tuck chart an ambitious course for the future.

We want to thank Tuck Senior Associate Dean Robert Hansen and the rest of the search committee for their exemplary work in choosing such a fine leader for Tuck. We would also like to take this opportunity to once more thank Paul Danos for 20 years of extraordinary service as dean. His contributions have earned Tuck a unique place among the world's top graduate business schools, and for that we will be forever grateful.

Please join us in congratulating Matt on this wonderful news.
