Announcing Dartmouth's 2024 Commencement Speaker

To the Dartmouth community,

I'm delighted to announce that tennis legend and philanthropist Roger Federer will be the speaker at this year's Commencement on June 9.

One of the greatest athletes the sport has known, Roger dominated men's tennis between 1998 and his retirement two years ago, ranking No. 1 in the world for men's singles for a record 237 consecutive weeks, and 310 weeks total. He holds dual citizenship in Switzerland and South Africa and has invested more than $96 million in early educational initiatives serving more than 2.7 million children living in poverty in Switzerland and six countries in southern Africa.

Roger will receive an honorary degree at Commencement, along with a number of other outstanding individuals whom we will name in the coming weeks.
