"We must build on what is uniquely Dartmouth--the strengths and opportunities that differentiate us. But we cannot fully realize Dartmouth's potential or hope to remain a leader in academia without pushing ourselves," said President Hanlon in a message to the community.

As the end of the academic year, President Hanlon takes a moment to congratulate faculty, staff, and students for their many successes over the past year.
The Presidential Steering Committee for Moving Dartmouth Forward is charged with making recommendations to the Board of Trustees that will take on the root causes of extreme behavior in three areas: sexual assault, high-risk drinking, and inclusivity on campus.
Under the banner of Moving Dartmouth Forward, Dartmouth will convene a summit of student leaders, faculty, administrators, trustees and alumni in a conversation facilitated by Dartmouth Roots, a student group working to improve Dartmouth by bridging the gap between ideas and implementation.
Yesterday afternoon, a small group of students in support of a "Freedom Budget" attended President Hanlon's office hours to advocate for their petition calling for greater inclusiveness on campus.
