Duane Compton, Professor of Biochemistry and Senior Associate Dean for Research, has agreed to serve as Interim Dean of Dartmouth's Geisel School of Medicine, effective July 15, 2014.
Inge-Lise Ameer, Senior Associate Dean of the College, will serve as Interim Dean of the College beginning August 1 and will report to Provost Carolyn Dever.
Dean Wiley "Chip" Souba will not seek reappointment to a second four-year term as dean of the Geisel School of Medicine.
