Please join us for a candlelit vigil on Tuesday, February 23rd at 7pm EST as Dartmouth students pay their respects to Ahmaud Arbery on the one-year anniversary of his murder. The entire Dartmouth community is welcome to participate via the live Zoom link below to share comments of love, hope and reflection in the Zoom chat.

The vigil will feature a moment of silence, an open discussion among students in person (due to COVID-19 campus restrictions a small group of 25 students will be in attendance), a live comment section via Zoom, and a musical piece performed by violinist Daniel Bernard Roumain. The Dartmouth community is encouraged to pay respects to all Black people who have suffered from all forms of racism and systemic oppression. Together we will honor Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, Trayvon Martin, Mike Brown, and many others. Dartmouth students encourage our community to remember what happened to Ahmaud and the rest of our Brothers and Sisters, to remember the importance of playing an active role in the fight against racism and oppression, and to keep saying their names forever.
