Historian Ruth Ben-Ghiat will give a talk on the topic of her book, "Strongmen: Mussolini to the Present" (2020).
The Italian Studies Working Group presents a lecture with Ruth Ben-Ghiat, "Propaganda and Personality Cults: from Mussolini to Trump" Wednesday, May 19th, at 2:30pm EST.
Ruth Ben-Ghiat is an American historian and cultural critic. She is a scholar on facism and authoritarianism leaders and a Professor of History and Italian Studies at New York University. She is the author of, "Strongmen: From Mussolini to the Present" (202), "Italian Facism's Empire Cinema" (2015), and "Fascist Moderities: Italy, 1922-1945" (2001).
