An immersive forest experience that interweaves a terrestrial ecology tour with nature-inspired movement explorations.
Strolling through an old-growth grove in the woodlands, we discover the history imprinted on the land and its trees with terrestrial ecologist Tom Wessels. After an in-depth tour of woods, dancer/choreographer Emmanuèle Phuon leads participants in transposing this knowledge to our personal memories and experiences with nature, using our bodies to connect to trees and their mythologies in a sensible, embodied, and inclusive way. Drawing from Phuon's experience working with Cambodian classical dancers, participants are invited to experiment on a free interpretation of classical Cambodian gestures adapted to all ages. Participants of all ages and experiences are welcome. Recommended for ages 10 and up.
Free, tickets required. Learn more here.
