David Kim joins the DSO for Bruch's emotional Violin Concerto.
The evening's program features David Kim, concertmaster of the Philadelphia Orchestra, in Bruch's Violin Concerto No. 1, a work considered by 19th century violin virtuoso Joachim as the "richest and most seductive" German violin concerto. The evening opens with George Walker's moving Lyric for Strings and closes with Beethoven's inspirational masterpiece, Symphony no. 3 "Eroica."
Don't miss the pre-show talk with David Kim and DSO Director Filippo Ciabatti at the Top of the Hop.
