The Department of History welcomes Dr. Ellen Wu, Indiana University Bloomington, for the Robert F. Allabough 1934 Memorial Lecture.

Overrepresented: The Surprising History of Asian Americans and Racial Justice
Asian Americans inhabit an awkward racial identity. No one can agree if they are “model minorities” or beleaguered minorities facing similar burdens to other Black and Brown folks. This talk dives into Asian Americans’ long running quest to resolve this sticky problem with no easy answers.

Dr. Ellen Wu is Associate Professor of History at Indiana University Bloomington and a New America Class of 2022 National Fellow.

This lecture will take place on Zoom and is open to all. Register for the event at https://dartgo.org/historyasianamericansracialjustice.
