The Dartmouth College Wind Ensemble welcomes three captivating guest artists for the US premiere of "Concierto de Otoño para trompeta"
Written by preeminent Mexican composer Arturo Márquez and transcribed for wind band by Flores, the concierto is a showcase of Pacho's virtuosic talent and sensitive musicality, with Luis Manuel Sánchez conducting. Molina and Flores then join the DCWE to bring their energetic flair to the premiere of Flores' Cantos y Revueltas: Flores on trumpet, Molina on Venezuelan cuatro, with Brian Messier conducting. Luis Manuel Sánchez, appears as part of a conductor exchange program that continues with DCWE director Brian Messier guest conducting the UNAM wind ensemble on December 4. This spring their ensembles will perform together on tour in Mexico City in support of the Mexican Repertoire Initiative at Dartmouth.
