Do you want to be number one or do you want to be happy? To choose happiness we must reframe how we view the world and act in the present moment. Public Talk by Deer Park Monastics
Do you want to be number one or do you want to be happy? To choose happiness we must reframe how we view the world and act in the present moment. Mindfulness applied in our daily life transforms a collective attitude of competition amidst scarcity into one of cooperation, abundance, and joy.
In this talk, senior monastic Dharma teachers of scholar, poet, peace activist, and Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh’s Plum Village Tradition teach us that there is no way to happiness, happiness is the way. We learn how to balance the complex demands placed on us by our family, school, workplace, and society with applied mindfulness practices like mindful breathing, walking, and eating.
