Nomi Stone (D'03) is an Assistant Professor of Literature & Creative Writing at University of Texas - Dallas. She is the author of three books, including the poetry collection Kill Class (2019) and the ethnography Pinelandia: An Anthropology and Field Poetics of War and Empire (2022), both based on fieldwork she conducted within war training in mock Middle Eastern villages erected by the US military across America.

Stone's poems appear in The Atlantic, POETRY Magazine, American Poetry Review, Best American Poetry, The Nation, The New Republic, and elsewhere.
