Pixar's newest film is an adventurous, heartfelt romp through the multicultural immigrant experience.

In Element City fire, water, land and air anthropomorphic residents live segregated existences. Ember, a tough, quick-witted, fiery young woman, develops a friendship with a fun, sappy, go-with-the-flow guy named Wade who challenges her beliefs and encourages her to step outside her comfort zone. Elemental draws inspiration from director Sohn's youth, growing up as the son of immigrants in New York City during the 1970s, highlighting the city's distinct cultural and ethnic diversity. With Pixar's characteristic mix of heart and adventure, aimed at both children and adults, Elemental presents a fresh, lively take on the multicultural immigrant experience.
