In this sublimely crafted modern romance, two deeply connected childhood friends are wrested apart when one family emigrates from South Korea to America. Two decades later, the childhood sweethearts reunite in New York for one fateful week as they confront destiny, love and the choices they've made. Based on writer-director Celine Song's own experience, Past Lives is a transcendent, achingly gorgeous exploration of the parts of the self we lose as we become the people we are.
