A SPACE FOR DIALOGUE GALLERY TALK

Former museum intern Moonoka Begay '23 discusses their exhibition "Love as Ceremony: Legacies of Two-Spirit Liberation."

10/11/2023
4:00 pm – 4:45 pm
Hood Museum of Art
Intended Audience(s): Public
Categories: Arts, Exhibitions

Former museum intern Moonoka Begay highlights the work of contemporary North American “two-spirit” artists, exploring the ways in which two-spirit communities reclaim ancestral knowledge and imagine possible futures. This work’s expression of joy, love, and liberation both resists and dispels Western colonial characterizations of queerness.
