President Sian Leah Beilock has been invited to join some of the leading women in business, government, philanthropy, education, sports, and the arts at next week's Fortune Most Powerful Women 2023 Conference in Laguna Niguel, Calif.

The conference runs from Oct. 9 through Oct. 11.

"I'm honored to take part in a conversation about how education can help build a more equitable and productive society for future generations," says President Beilock, a cognitive scientist. "The importance of bringing together top women leaders from across the breadth of sectors and disciplines to share insights on the most pressing issues of our times cannot be overstated."

On Oct. 11, Beilock will be a featured panelist on DEI at a Crossroads, a discussion with Kristin Mugford, senior associate dean of culture and community and senior lecturer in finance at Harvard Business School, on the role of higher education in expanding the pipeline of people who enter the corporate sector and how colleges and universities can partner with the private sector to create jobs and opportunity.

The conversation, which begins at 9:15 a.m. PDT, will be moderated by Fortune editor Ruth Umoh.

Beilock is co-leading the EDGE Consortium, a group of women university presidents and engineering deans who are working to expand the semiconductor workforce through the CHIPS and Science Act. The goal is to double the number of women and people of color ready for careers in semiconductors, thereby strengthening the industry.

Dartmouth trustee Connie Britton '89 will also be at the Fortune conference, participating in a Renaissance Woman panel at 11:55 a.m. PDT on Oct. 10. An award-winning actress, Britton is also an investor and philanthropist.
