As the great nephew of celebrated Cherokee fiddler Sam O'Fields, Nokosee Fields honors a longstanding Cherokee fiddling tradition, carrying it into the present. Nokosee's prowess has earned him prestigious awards in contests across the United States and he frequently shares his craft at festivals and workshops. In this session, Nokosee shares examples of North American fiddle repertoire and his own loving and playful reimaginings with opportunities to play along and ask questions.

This class is ideal for intermediate and advanced-beginner level fiddle players, but all experience levels are welcome. Enthusiastic observers may also attend; advance registration is required.
