MAKER NIGHT: On the Edge

Join special artist guest and Emeritus Professor of Studio Art at Dartmouth Louise Hamlin for Maker Night.

Thursday, March 24, 2022
6:00pm – 7:30pm
Hood Museum of Art
Intended Audience(s): Public
Categories: Arts, Exhibitions, Workshops & Training
Registration required.

Special guest artist Louise Hamlin joins this Maker Night. The effects of art—emotional, metaphorical, and historical—are much discussed, but how artists actually create those effects is not. One of the less-noted aspects of art is the edge. Drawing from her current Hood Museum exhibition, In the Moment, as well as her new work, Hamlin will teach participants ways to manipulate edge with pencil, charcoal, and pastel. No studio experience is necessary for this interactive and free workshop. Space is limited. Click here to register!

Please note: Per College policy, face coverings are welcome but not required in Dartmouth's indoor spaces. Proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test are no longer required for visitors either. Dartmouth still recommends all visitors are up to date with their COVID-19 vaccinations or have received a negative COVID-19 test result within 72 hours prior to accessing Dartmouth locations or Dartmouth-sponsored in-person events. Click here to read Dartmouth's COVID-19 policies.
