Michael Abbate and Nader Akhnoukh of NovaWulf will cover some of the motivations behind Bitcoin and decentralized networks and the problems Satoshi’s design solves.

5/20/2022
2 pm – 3 pm
Zaleski Auditorium (MacLean ESC, Rm. B001)
Intended Audience(s): Public
Categories: Lectures & Seminars

This lecture will cover some of the motivations behind Bitcoin and decentralized networks and the problems Satoshi’s design solves; including incentive mechanisms with a focus on the Byzantine General’s Problem and the proof of work consensus algorithm. We will then discuss technically how to implement Bitcoin’s design and analyze how it operates. A portion of the lecture will be reserved for questions which hopefully will help shape future curriculum.
